How we did it
NextGrowth Labs began by reviewing the site and the pages that had potential for the organic uplift. We ran our proprietary tools – such as content gap analysis, title meta recommendation tool to generate recommendations and kept improvising on them based on new data. Additionally, using our traffic estimator – which takes keyword volume, position, search feature and CTR into account – we prioritized the pages that could get uplift.
We pegged every iteration of activity with the results which we measured via search console by ingesting every row of data from it.
We understood rank correlation with addition of keywords, movement of keyword sets with title/meta changes, rank stability by specific listing enhancements and ensured that a consistent meta shows up.
We pulled data we got from every source – including keyword planner, search console, SERP tracker to focus on rank stability, identify areas of opportunity and build clusters that would be a part of user’s search patterns. In most of the exercises, such as content gap analysis, we would get 1000s of keywords, so giving a limited set of keywords, and precise clustering was extremely important.
What we learned or built during the stint with client team
- A/B testing tool – for titles – which is a workspace add-on.
- Interlinking WP plugin – which takes csv as an input and builds interlinks.
